In 2019, Authentik USA committed to planting 1 tree per trip sold, to offset the traveller's CO2 emissions.
The Authentik Forest is a place to reflect on the impact we have on the environment and the steps we can take to reduce that impact.
The Authentik Forest 2019 was planted on the property of Auberge du Baluchon, in St-Paulin in the Mauricie region.
Guests can visit the forest to see their tree and observe how they have, in their own way, contributed to protecting the environment.

Ecological footprint
Every trip sold by Authentik USA emits a certain quantity of CO2 (carbon dioxide) into the atmosphere.
Tourist activities such as driving a car or RV, snowmobiling or flying to the United States produce emissions of CO2, a greenhouse gas that is very harmful to the atmosphere.
Greenhouse gas emissions and their impact on global warming are now recognized as one of the greatest threats to our future.
Offsetting CO2 by planting trees
The forestry sector has an important role to play in mitigating climate change. Forests currently capture 25% of the CO2 produced by human activity.
This was one of the ideas behind the Authentik Forest project.
