Visit Las Vegas in 24 hours
Las Vegas needs no introduction: it is known the world over for its huge casinos, its long evenings of wining and dining, its bright neon lights, its kitsch, its luxury hotels, and its shows, each more extravagant than the last.
If you only have 24 hours in Las Vegas, you'll want to focus on Las Vegas Boulevard, also known as "The Strip".
This part of Las Vegas is easily explored on foot, to the delight of visitors.
Prepare yourselves, it's going to be a crazy day!
Morning
STRATOSPHERE
Start your day by going up to the top of the STRAT Hotel observation tower.
This 350-metre tower has dominated Las Vegas Boulevard since 1979, and offers a breathtaking bird's-eye view of the famous Strip.
There are also 3 heart-stopping rides at the top of the tower, for thrill-seekers only!
WYNN HOTEL
Next make your way to the Wynn Hotel, built on the shores of a beautiful artificial lake called Lake of Dreams, surrounded by lush vegetation and featuring a large waterfall.
Continue to the Venetian, an Italian-style hotel, whose almost perfect reproduction of Venice and its most famous landmarks will leave you speechless.
You can even go for a gondola ride along real canals for less than $25 per person.
It's a fun experience, especially if you've never been to Italy: good memories guaranteed.
HIGH ROLLER
End your morning in Vegas with the High Roller, the world's tallest observation wheel.
One complete rotation takes 30 minutes and offers sweeping 360-degree views.
LINQ PROMENADE
The High Roller is less than an 8-minute walk from the Venetian via the Linq Promenade, which passes behind the Flamingo Hotel.
Linq Promenade is a modern and trendy entertainment district where you will find some forty boutiques, restaurants and bars, as well as a bowling alley and a concert hall.
Distance walked this morning: 7.5 km
WHERE TO EAT LUNCH
If you like Mexican food, and you're not travelling with young children, Chayo Mexican Kitchen + Tequila Bar is the place to go!
You will find fresh tasty fare along with a vast selection of tequila. All that, at a reasonable price (for Vegas, that is).
For enjoying a drink in the sun, their patio is the perfect spot!
The interior even features a mechanical bull for guests with a wild side.

Afternoon
PARIS LAS VEGAS
Your hunger satisfied, set out in the direction of the Paris Las Vegas Hotel.
On your way you will pass in front of the Bellagio, one of the most beautiful hotels in Las Vegas. Don't stop there right away, because you'll be back later.
When you reach the Paris, you will almost feel like you are in the City of Love.
This hotel features reproductions of some of the great Paris monuments and attractions such as the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, the Place de la Concorde fountain, the Louvre, and even the Alexandre-III bridge.
MANDALAY BAY
Your next stop is Mandalay Bay for a visit to Shark Reef, one of the largest aquariums in North America, in the heart of the desert.
It's a unique multisensory experience!
Shark reef is home to one hundred species and more than 2,000 aquatic animals, including 15 different species of sharks.
You can easily spend the rest of the afternoon there.
"WELCOME TO FABULOUS LAS VEGAS" SIGN
On leaving the aquarium, walk about fifteen minutes to the iconic "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" for a photo!
Distance walked this afternoon: 4.5 km
WHERE TO GO FOR DINNER
For dinner, retrace your steps to the Bellagio. If you hop in a taxi, it will take 10 minutes and you'll have the chance to rest your legs.
Getting a little tired of American food?
We've got you covered: Mon Ami Gabi is a classic French bistro.
The menu offers all the French classics, like onion soup au gratin, escargots de Bourgogne and filet mignon crème fraîche.

Evening
BELLAGIO
I brought you back to the Bellagio for the fabulous sound and light fountain show that can be seen from the sidewalk in front of the hotel.
Completely free of charge, watch as more than 1200 jets of water dance together in time to music. It is a completely magical experience.
If you're starting to feel tired and don't want to go out this evening, make one last stop in the hotel's indoor conservatory.
You will find magnificent floral displays and some peace and quiet.
FREMONT STREET
That said, if you want to experience the nightlife of the City of Sin, make your way to Fremont Street.
Located just north of south Las Vegas Blvd, Fremont is a pedestrian mall between Main and 4th.
You will see all kinds of people here: street performers (sometimes scantily clad), vendors of all kinds, musicians, homeless people, celebrities, a zipline, happy people, drunk people, and much more...
In the evening, every hour, a 6-minute sound and light show is presented on a giant screen suspended above the street.
If you're in the mood to party, I guarantee you a memorable evening!
Take a taxi back to your hotel, or walk if you'd like some fresh air.
And there you go!
In any case, Las Vegas is a destination you simply must include in your American tour.
