We expected more to discover the Navajo culture through a cultural space, a museum etc. but we saw that the Goulding museum (founder of the camp of the same name) and a cinema showing films by John Wayne… No doubt there was more to do, to see, but one night there was too short.
Another half disappointment is Lake Powell. We have seen the essentials but not making a boat on the lake is a mistake. 1 night there is not enough.
So I think we should have done either 2 nights in Monument Valley and passed Lake Powell or vice versa.
However, we do not regret anything. It was a great trip. The Roadbook is awesome and a treasured keepsake.
