In planning your trip, it is important to understand your different options for paying U.S. national parks entry fees.
ANNUAL PASS AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL
The most economical way to visit multiple national parks is to purchase an annual America the Beautiful pass.
Cost: US $80
Validity: 1 year from the month of purchase
Where to purchase: At the entrance to the first park you visit
Who is covered: The pass covers all visitors accompanying the pass holder
* The annual pass is non-transferable and non-refundable. The pass holder will need to show photo identification at each park.
* Some parks charge per person entry fees. In this case, the pass covers 4 adults including the pass holder (children under 16 are admitted free) travelling in the same vehicle as the pass holder. Any extra adults will be required to pay the individual entry fee.
* National park entry fees are around US $15 per person or US $30 per vehicle. The annual pass is worth buying if you plan to visit at least 3 parks during your trip.
* Some parks, such as Monument Valley, are not covered by the America the Beautiful pass. You will need to pay the entry fee at these parks.

Some National Parks decided to have a reservation system to help manage congestion and provide a quality visitor experience. It is therefore essential to reserve your acces to the park in advance. If you do not reserve your entry in advance, you won’t be able to access the park in the peak hours. Here are the different parks involved along with the reservation details and dates :
*If you are staying in the National Park, there is no need to pre-book your entry.
