Having studied modern languages at university, the desire to travel the world in search of rich and varied cultures only deepened! Furthermore, in my free time, I prepare lists on Google Maps of places I’d like to visit, so I’m always ready for an adventure! My favorite part of traveling is discovering the local cuisine! I also enjoy hiking in national parks to get a bit of excercise in whilst on vacation. To remember these adventures and excursions, I love collecting postcards and stickers (and lots of photos!). Curiosity about other countries and cultures and my passion for organizing trips are the reasons why I joined the Authentik team!

My Picks and Travel Tips

What is my favorite destination in the USA?

My favourite parts of the US aren't destinations, but rather journeys. Highways 89 and 91 in Vermont and New Hampshire are beautiful in the fall, especially early in the morning when there are still remnants of fog around the lakes and mountain peaks. Highway 1 in California is also breathtaking with its endless ocean views and beach towns. I recommend traveling southbound to see the ocean better!

A tip for your trip to the USA

Avoid fast food restaurants and instead go eat at local restaurants. If you don't know where to go, don't hesitate to ask the locals!

What is my favorite season in the USA?

My favourite season is autumn! The leaves changing colour make for spectacular scenery and the slightly colder weather makes staying outside in the sun more tolerable than in the summer. It's also the best time to travel since there are less tourists and it's less expensive.

What souvenir to bring back from the United States?

I always recommend postcards, stickers and pins since they're small and inexpensive! Otherwise, getting a film camera and getting it developed after your trip is always good fun and allows for one last surprise from the trip.

Don't forget to pack in your luggage:

A portable charger! Our phones serve not only as a means of communication but also as a GPS, translator, TV, and camera. If you want to avoid having a dead phone at the airport or in an unfamiliar place, I highly recommend bringing a portable charger.

What is my dream trip?

As someone who loves traveling by train, my dream trip in the US would be to take the Amtrak trains in a loop around the various states lining both coasts and borders! From the bustling cities, mountains, deserts, and beaches to everything in between, the US has a lot to offer in terms of scenery!
