Caroline Dion

Specialist USA
It’s my passion for travel, discovering other cultures, and my desire to work in relation with others that motivated my career choice in the tourism field more than twenty years ago. Gaspesian at heart and Montrealer by choice, this reflects well the multiple facets of my personality. Comfortable in high heels as well as in hiking boots, I appreciate the multiculturalism and the infinite possibilities that life in the metropolis offers me, all while knowing that my ideal weekend scenario is to get lost in the middle of the forest and breathe the fresh air!!! Finally, I am someone who loves to enjoy the good things in life, especially when it comes to sitting down to eat =)!

My Picks and Travel Tips

What is my favorite destination in the USA?

Yellowstone, it's a huge park with an incredible diversity of landscapes! From lunar landscapes of hot springs and geysers to the prairie with herds of bison, you will be amazed!

A tip for your trip to the USA

My answer is the same for Canada and the United States: give primary importance to the number of kilometers you need to travel each day and adjust your stopping time at each stage accordingly. It cannot be stressed enough, the distances to travel between each stage are often very large since Canada and the USA are very vast countries.

What is my favorite season in the USA?

Autumn without hesitation! Nothing compares to a walk in the forest in the full color season, whether it be in Outaouais, the Laurentians, or New England. A breathtaking spectacle!

What souvenir to bring back from the United States?

The best souvenirs for me are those related to food that can be enjoyed upon returning from a trip, recalling the good times and our discoveries. There's no shortage of local products in Canada and the USA.

Don't forget to pack in your luggage:

A gift for your specialist =) No joke, in America the weather is very changeable and varies a lot depending on the regions visited. So, I advise you to bring several types of clothes that you can wear in layers and thus be prepared for any eventuality. A good waterproof windbreaker is also a MUST!

What is my dream trip?

I would love to leave for several months and go wander around Asia. Vietnam, Thailand, and Indonesia make me dream. It’s also the desire to completely immerse myself in a culture completely different from North American culture that makes Asia my dream destination! As a food lover, the cuisine also plays a role with all the exotic flavors that this destination offers its visitors...
