Many Walmart andSuper Walmart stores in the U.S. have parking spaces for recreational vehicles. However, some of them clearly indicate that they do not allow overnight parking. To avoid taking any chances, go in and ask the store manager if you can stay overnight.
Rest stops are located along major highways. It is strictly prohibited to spend the night at a rest stop. The maximum stay permitted is four hours. If you decide to risk it, there is a good chance that you will be woken in the middle of the night and asked to leave the premises, with a fine to pay!
Nothing beats a good campground, where you will find the services you need and, above all, security.
