Originally from Normandy in France, I have always wanted to travel after my studies. It was in Canada that I decided to venture for 1 year. The trip of my life. So much so that when I returned to France I was disoriented. My story there wasn't finished.  A year later, I settled down in a small village on the edge of the Saguenay Fjord where I had spent my first summer. I spent 8 wonderful years where nature, road trips, and the outdoors were my life's rhythm. In 2017, I wanted to write a new chapter and decided to settle in the exciting, yet oh so pleasant city of Montreal.

My Picks and Travel Tips

What is my favorite destination in the USA?

The American West! I know it's a broad answer, but believe me, the choice is difficult among the incredible parks of Utah, Nevada, California. And Wyoming. And Arizona. This country is fascinating. I assure you that one trip will not be enough!

A tip for your trip to the USA

Enjoy, you only live once.

What is my favorite season in the USA?

Autumn! The weather is still great and the national parks are less crowded. It's also easier to find spots in campsites if you're the type to not book ahead (which I strongly advise against if you go in summer).

What souvenir to bring back from the United States?

If you go to the national parks, there are lovely postcards for sale at the Visitor Center. Pick one from the park you visited and write on the back the most beautiful memories and anecdotes of your stay in it. It's pretty, inexpensive, doesn't take up space and to top it all off it will remind you of sweet memories.

Don't forget to pack in your luggage:

Good walking shoes and something to treat your blisters (For those who have bought new shoes without breaking them in before the trip).

What is my dream trip?

I have made several Roadtrips in Canada and the United States. Now that I have a little girl, I dream of starting over and showing her both the spectacular landscapes and that inexplicable feeling of freedom one gets on the road. The most incredible thing is all the animals one can encounter in their natural habitats. It leaves me in awe every time.
